In 1994, close to a million peoples, Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed in just 100 days. This massacre occurred while the international community closed its eyes.
Each year on 7th of April, WM-RCA remember the past as a way to honour those who were murdered, suffered, and as a way to protest against genocide.
Our primary objective of the commemoration is to raise awareness and combat hatred and lack of understanding. We work to challenge and shape society' s attitude towards prejudice and to celebrate the benefits of an all inclusive, tolerant and multicultural society which values human dignity and good citizenship.
